Why East Foundation

As east London and parts of Essex are some of the most deprived areas in the country many people live in tough and disadvantaged neighbourhoods. However, this is set against a time of real opportunity for the region, with significant regeneration taking place through developments including Stratford City, the 2012 Olympic Programme and Thames Gateway.

One of our great strengths is our link with East Thames Group. Much more than a housing association, East Thames works to create sustainable communities and improve the quality of residents' lives.
